About Pat...

Pat Kogos is a writer of fiction, poetry and nonfiction. She was born and raised in St. Louis, lived in New Orleans for 20 years, then moved back to her hometown. Pat's writing combines her affection for both her Southern and Midwestern roots.


After receiving a bachelor's degree at Loyola University in New Orleans, Pat earned an MFA in Writing at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. She is currently a publications editor at Washington University in St. Louis.


She has been both a Finalist and a Semi-Finalist in the Faulkner-Wisdom Creative Writing Competition in New Orleans.


Pat is also the designer of a uniquely St. Louis fabric, St. Louis Toile. Special thanks to the Missouri History Museum for its support in this artistic endeavor.
